Driving Change in Agriculture and Household Energy Practices

Anvarat Foundation’s Agriculture and Environment initiatives focus on sustainable practices that enhance agricultural productivity and promote environmental responsibility. In Palwal, Haryana, we work with 100 paddy farmers to implement Urea Deep Placement (UDP) technology, improving soil health, reducing urea usage, and boosting crop yields. In Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, 500 farmers are cultivating medicinal and aromatic plants under the SFURTI scheme, creating new economic opportunities. Additionally, we are conducting research in Uttar Pradesh on the use of ethanol as a clean cooking fuel, targeting underserved communities.

Fostering Sustainable Livelihoods and Clean Energy Solutions

  • We engage with local farmers to implement the Urea Deep Placement (UDP) technique, promoting better nutrient efficiency and reducing environmental harm.

  • Through the SFURTI scheme, we help farmers in Amethi grow and market high-value crops like medicinal and aromatic plants, enhancing their income and linking them to larger markets.

  • Our research into ethanol-based cooking solutions aims to explore the practical application of clean fuels to reduce indoor air pollution and improve the health and well-being of marginalized households.

Target Beneficiaries: Farmers and Marginalized Communities

Our beneficiaries include small-scale farmers in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, who are gaining from sustainable farming practices and new economic opportunities. Marginalized communities, including urban slum dwellers and migrant workers, are benefiting from cleaner, healthier cooking alternatives. These initiatives are fostering long-term resilience, improving livelihoods, and promoting environmental sustainability.
